General Motors (GM) will boost production of its Cadillac Escalade V-Series performance model as part of its updates for the 2025 model year. The new SUV will feature a 55-inch diagonal display across the dashboard, which includes a screen exclusively for the passenger. It will also offer an “executive package” for the second row, power doors, large 24-inch wheels, and other enhancements. According to John Roth, Cadillac’s vice president, the Escalade has symbolized bold American craftsmanship, technology, and performance since its debut 25 years ago, continuously setting the standard for full-size SUV luxury.
The Escalade is vital for Cadillac and GM, being the highly profitable flagship of GM’s large SUV lineup, with GM maintaining its lead in U.S. market share for full-size SUVs for decades. The 2025 model year updates, which include sleeker front lighting and a larger interior screen, aim to better align the gas-powered model with an upcoming all-electric version. The gas-powered 2025 Escalade will retain its two 6.2-liter V-8 engines, including a supercharged V-Series performance model delivering 682 horsepower and 653 foot-pounds of torque.
Cadillac plans to increase production of the 2025 Escalade V-Series, introduced two years ago, due to unmet demand for the current model year. Although specific production increase numbers were not disclosed, a Cadillac spokeswoman confirmed that the goal is to meet customer demand for the pinnacle of Escalade performance, luxury, and craftsmanship while maintaining its exclusivity.
GM will announce pricing for the 2025 models closer to their launch. Current prices range from about $81,000 for an entry-level model to over $152,000 for the V-Series. The all-electric Escalade IQ is expected to start around $130,000 when it becomes available later this year. Enhancements to the gas-powered 2025 Escalade were revealed online by GM ahead of the vehicle’s production and sales starting later this year.
The Escalade will continue to be produced at GM’s Arlington Assembly in Texas, alongside full-size SUVs from Chevrolet and GMC that share a vehicle platform and other components with the Cadillac model.
